Hey all aspiring future RN's ! I'm transferring to City tech in fall 2020. Then I plan on applying to City Tech Spring 2021 RN program. I just need to take one more class MAT 1190. Does anyone else plan on applying? Current students in the RN program do you have any advice?

I just want reassure you that if you have a high GPA, you don’t really have to worry about your TEAS score. I passed with a 65.3 but my GPA was good enough to get me into the program

Thank you!! That made me feel less anxious. I have a pretty good GPA. How do you feel about the program so far?

Yea you have nothing to worry about! I feel you will definitely get in despite your TEAS grade being that you passed!

I was wondering about registration. Is it true that we can't register for any classes until we get our confirmation from the nursing department? Can someone tell me how this is supposed to work. Are we supposed to wait until January to register for anything?
Yes, you have to wait until January to register for any nursing courses being that we technically do not know who is in the nursing program and being that our major is not changed to nursing yet.

I applied to the Spring 2021 nursing program I passed the TEAS with a 87% an A- in A&P, A in Eng Comp, A in Psych 1101 and a B- in MAT 1375 (for a calculated GPA of 3.54.) Does anyone know the cutoff for GPA? Or my likelihood of getting into the program with my grades.
Hi Tierra, the cutoff varies every semester depending on the amount of people apply but the past few semesters, the cutoff have been around 3.5. In my opinion, I think you have a chance of getting in.

I know. The earlier, the better. For this semester don’t know how competitive it’ll be. So can’t say anything about that. Passing score on TEAS is 65.3%
