Hey everyone! Has anyone applied to the City of Hope New Graduate program? I applied a few days ago and will post on here if I hear anything. Best of luck to those that applied!

What are the next emails... not sure if this means I've been hired or not.

You didn't receive a welcome email?

You didn't receive a welcome email?

nope, just the background one

You should prob call then.... we got like three welcome emails.

Thanks Johnny. That really makes me scratch my head bc I have a friend who has an MSN w/a 4.0 GPA and didn't even get considered for the CIS.

I have an MSN, above 3.5 GPA w/360hrs Onc experience with an internal reference and still didn't even get an interview for the NG.

OH WELL, at least I got the CIS.

thanks for all the post everyone. Good Luck to us ALL!

How long will the CIS position last at COH?

At first I was told 4 weeks, then last Friday it changed to Sept 23-Dec 6. Soooo I would say Sept 23-Dec 6.

Do you think they might extend it? Its a huge task to educate 550+ nurses plus other staff.

Thanks, I just got the background email...but they also said one of the hiring mangers was going to contact me. Just trying to figure out what's going on.

There should be only one interview for the CIS. Someone should be contacting you soon. Did you get the official offer letter?

Not everyone is starting this upcoming Monday; since I am not local, they gave me the option to start on the 7th of October. I am relieved for this.

I imagine from what I talked about with the nurse recruiter, that's what's the deal. We will be working full-time, nurses' shifts. She broke down the schedule to me. Johnny, did you get that from her during your interview?

I am hired on now! thanks guys

12 hour shifts?

They still haven't confirmed that. Neither have they confirmed the dress code. The "Talent Acquisition" told me that the manager will let us know all that soon.

I was told the position is 3 12's and in the paperwork for orientation the dress code says business casual (and to wear comfy shoes the first day for a tour).
