City of Hope - Duarte New Grad RN Residency Program (September 2024)

Published

Hello,

I'm not sure if one was already created for this cohort, but I couldn't find one! I am starting this thread for updates for the September residency program (interviews, questions, support, and general updates).

Hoping to meet some new people!

I applied to COH today! Good luck to all

Hi all,

I just had my 2nd interview today. It was a little nerve wracking with so many people on one call. How was everyone else's?

Good luck to everyone that applied!🤍

Congrats! Wish you luck🙂 Which department did you interview with? How were the interview questions may I ask?

Thank you! I appreciate that; best of luck to you as well. I wanted anything pediatrics but was open to anything, and they were aware of that, so every department was on the call, not just pediatrics. There were 12 people who joined the call from other departments; three of them were educators, and someone else jumped on from HR. The questions were all over the place because everyone could jump in and ask questions so it wasn't a standard format but mainly to see who you are/more about you as a person or nurse, prioritization, and why you choose them.

Hi,

Is there anyone who havent received the second interview date for Monday? I've been emailing them but I havent received it

I had my 2nd interview today. All departments were on the call. Everyone seemed nice and made me feel welcomed. Be prepared for scenario question, every department ask questions.

good luck to everyone ❤️

It was definitely super warm and welcoming, but there were so many people and different questions from all works. Kinda kept you on your toes.

Good luck to you ❤️

scenario questions are the ones that make me the most nervous. it's like the NCLEX all over again haha! would you say they were simple and easy to answer or was it more critical thinking?

I have my interview in a few hours. good luck to everyone!

Same! Those are the ones I am most concerned with! But good luck and if you can let us know how it goes and an example of a scenario question they ask you would be great but no pressure! Once again, good luck to you and to everyone as well! 💙

Has anyone heard anything? I know tomorrow is the last day for interviews but I just wanted to double check.

I havent heard anything but after my interview, they told me they would let me know in 1-2 weeks. So hopefully we hear from them soon 🤞
