City Colleges of Chicago Fall 2014 Nursing

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hey Guys/Girls,

I would like to start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2014 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. Please post if you have any information you might have regarding acceptance letters and also ask questions regarding the process. I think this will be helpful for applicants as far as how the acceptance process is coming along as well as support through the waiting period.

Hope to hear from you soon!

I kinda hope that they will let us know earlier. CCC website says BY May 16. So I hope that means May 16 is the deadline, but they can let us know earlier.

I never noticed that. I thought that on that day they would be sending the emails. I'm glad...i hope they don't wait until the end to send them out!

I mean I don't know that for sure. But after talking to some people, and seeing the work "BY" in the email, that is what I think. And hope :) Did you see the news last night about Malcolm X and Daley being on probation???

They also sent out an email

Hey all,

I applied to nursing program as well. My first choice was Truman since I live only 10 minutes away. My GPA is 4.0 and Teas test was 82% over all and reading only 73.8%. I ran out of time and was unable to answer last 6 questions :( I am really nervous about whether they will place me in Truman or not. No matter who I ask they all have 4.0 GPA and high Teas scores. It seems that 4.0 GPA is nothing special now a days. I would hate it if I had to go all the way to Malcolm or Daley for my nursing. That would be waste of 3 hours every day by going there and back with public transit since I don't drive.

Fingers crossed I get Truman!

Good luck! Hopefully you do get in to Truman. It will definitely not be Daley because they are not accepting any nursing students anymore.

This is what I am curious about, I was in the Nursing program for Fall 2013 (1st yr), I had to withdraw and before they decided to no longer have the Nursing program at Daley, I was guaranteed my spot in the Nursing program for Fall 2014 at Daley. So, as of now I am VERY confused, as to what to do, every staff member of the Nursing Dept. is just sending me off to someone else. So, considering the changes I wanted to know, where were the options for you all to start your Nursing School if accepted? I just want to know so that way I know who I have to talk to. Are the only options Truman and MXC?? I would really appreciate this info, because I have worked reaLLY HARD JUST AS MANY TO GET TO WHERE I WAS, AND I JUST DON'T WANT TO STOP. I plan to keep going :).

sorry, I wasn't here all week. But I can see someone already posted the answer below.

I feel like somehow how I "tainted" the topic. I wasn't trying to, just trying to get an understanding from those who have applied, so I would have a better idea as to who I have to reach. I saw so many posts and then "boom"- nada after my post. :(

No you didn't. I didn't know how I could help you but I wish I could. Did you talk to the person who told you they would save your spot? Or you should actually go in to the school and ask the nursing department.
