City College of San Francisco Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone! I applied for the spring 2020, just wanted to start a discussion to see who else applied. Curious to know the points you got when calculating and just support eachother through this process. To my calculations I scored about 38 points before the TEAS. Not sure if I used the correct points though. Good luck, everyone!

When I spoke with ***** **** she told me we would hear back the week of the 18th.

Just got my letter to submit my teas score (which I already sent in back in august? So kind of confused why they are asking) I got an 82.7 on teas... honestly I’m nervous.. i live in Santa Rosa and I would be commuting and I’m scared it’s not a good idea to commute that far... anyone wanna share their thoughts?

Same!! I live in Santa Rosa and would have to relocate.. I’d be down to be your roomie lol

Yes! We need to keep in touch about this after responses go out LOL!!!

Yes!!! Stay in touch, best of luck to you

Did you get an email or letter? Or both?

I’m cosigning with TBird.. Nursing Department said once they receive all TEAS scores by 11/18, they’ll start sending out emails and mail ASAP! So keep an eye out for both. Good luck to everyone ??

Anybody else think the wording for the letter/email is a little tricky and somewhat misleading ? I’m going back and forth between what the website says and what the paper says. I understand that we still need to be ranked based on points including TEAs, but I kind of don’t get why do it this way? The paper feels like it’s saying that we are accepted yet it doesn’t

I agree! This is supposedly the last year they are doing apps this way though. If you check the site it states that going forward they will only be accepting apps during Jan/Feb and TEAS is to be included with the apps. They must be stressed out doing it this way as well.

Can you elaborate?

I think its because the current website is for the next application period where the TEAs scores will be included in the original application unlike this round. I think the letter just let us know we are still being considered and then will be ranked once the TEAs scores are in. When I called in last week they said the top 50 will be accepted and then there will be a short waitlist for the rest of the applicants. It sounds like the top 100 were requested to send in the TEAs scores but it's not an acceptance and not everyone who sent in their teas will be accepted or put on the wait list.

Aren’t we technically all ranked already? Example, when filling out my criteria sheet, I checked off my TEAs score. And I’m assuming many people have already too and CCSF just wants to confirm our scores.. so don’t they technically already know who is ranked highest etc

Yeaa I think we are already ranked since we had to put our total score on that multi criteria sheet. sending the TEAS score was just to confirm that you did in fact have the score you checked off on the sheet.
