City College of San Francisco Spring 2020

Published

Hi everyone! I applied for the spring 2020, just wanted to start a discussion to see who else applied. Curious to know the points you got when calculating and just support eachother through this process. To my calculations I scored about 38 points before the TEAS. Not sure if I used the correct points though. Good luck, everyone!

When do you think we'll hear back by for the waitlist? For those who are accepted, when do you have to confirm by? I am #61 on the list. I am hopeful they'll go far into the list this time as they did last time!!! Good luck to everyone.

Ouuuu good job Mrrn!!!! I’m pretty sure you’ll get called soon!!! I read that someone was number #83 back for the spring or fall 2019 and got called for a spot ! Walk with a lot of faith ! You’re super close to 51# ? so I’m sure you’ll get that call !

@Mrrn111 what was your total points!? I got a letter in the mail too but don’t know my place since I’m out of town!

I don't remember what my total points were. I think it was in the mid-high 50s. Your rank is listed in the letter! ( but I am assuming someone just checked for it rather than opened the letter for you)

@RNdesdewitt, ahhh thank you for being so uplifting and encouraging!! ?

@Mrrn111 yea! They just checked for the letter! Wanted to open it when I get back home but the suspense is killing me since I don’t get back till Monday.

Anyone know how high the wait list is? Did some people receive a rejection letter?

Good luck to all of you...Being on standby is definitely an accomplishment in itself! The deadline for acceptance is Nov. 27th by end of day, and the mandatory orientation is Dec. 3rd...if you don’t go to orientation you are dropped.

I believe it goes up to 100 starting at #51. The top 50 were already accepted into the program and received their emails of acceptance last week.

Hey Clydyss so do we still need to go to orientation as well even if we’re only waitlisted ?

I guess a better question would be

even though we aren’t wait listed and have not yet been offered a spot by the time of orientation should we still attend ?

@RNdesdewitt that’s a good question...I’m pretty sure orientation is only for those initially selected (primarily because the orientation information was divulged to me when I dropped off my letter of acceptance and received my welcome packet). I suspect that they will offer up all the same info to those chosen from the waitlist once they’re accepted.

Thank you So much !

I hope you do as well! You deff earned it. I know how you feel about wanting this super bad. I’ve been trying to get into nursing school for the past 7 years. Is there a way you can call them and explain your situation, Michelle about the remediation test?

OMG 7 years. WOW!! talk about earning it, you for sure do. Well they emailed me last year to do the remediation, but I missed the email and the cut off time to reply, so I had to apply all over again this year and hope that I at least got on the standby, so that once my number comes up they could offer me a chance at the remediation again.
