Hey everyone I havent seen a thread for the advanced placement for fall 2020. So the application period is over, when are we supposed to be receiving emails about acceptance? Also what are your stats and have you taken the TEAS yet?

Hey,

I applied an hour before the deadline! It was crazy but I was able to finish the application. They will notify applicants by email next month. Not sure about my exact stats but to give you an idea, I got A on micro and Physiology, B on anatomy, A Chemistry and B for English. I have AA in Pre-allied health. I have taken the TEAS at Rio Hondo last August and unfortunately I got 65.5.

I applied for the advance placement and I haven’t heard anything yet. Has anyone received an email or letter? I’m wondering if the process will get delayed because of the pandemic.

Hi, yes I actually emailed the nursing department A few days ago asking if they had processed applications yet. They simply said due to this covid-19 situation they “are unable to provide an update on the nursing applications at this time”

this makes waiting so much harder, they have to give those who are accepted a chance to study for the TEAS.

Do you guys know if the current nursing program is on hold? If so then we will have to wait longer.

That’s a good point but I don’t think they would be on hold per say. I have a co worker who is in Rio Hondo’s Lvn to RN program and she still has theory and Clinicals but all online... which IDK how well that turns out. She’s also not sure if graduation will be delayed for them, nothing is certain at this point.

Hope everyone is doing good as I understand the extended wait can be nerve-racking. I'm a current student in the program and can confirm we are still ongoing. There are many moving pieces and our faculty is doing an amazing job keeping the program viable with multiple contingencies in play. They have not forgotten about you and will notify all applicants soon. I can't give any dates or guarantees but stay optimistic and resilient in your journey. I'll check back soon if any questions.

Any updates? I haven't heard anything from Citrus ? I know it will take awhile. The waiting is making me more anxious.

hi no I still haven’t received anything. It’s kinda unfair that they haven’t even sent out a letter updating us, while other schools have at least something updated about thier programs.

Hi I appreciate your comment updating ya. Anything else that you’ve heard regarding the program?

Don't know the time table of when they'll send out notifications or updates. I have seen updates from some schools that their semesters have been canceled or application process on hold. At this point I can only say hang in their and take it as a good sign they haven't posted a negative generic post. They are still working on all cohorts (graduating class, 1st yr, and your class). Hopefully you hear something soon and I'll post back hear if I get any news.

I haven’t heard anything, although I’m sure that the program directors are probably also nervously awaiting on info to pass on to us. I know it’s very nerve wracking, but hang in there, things will resume at some point and we will find out whether or not we got into the program. Everyone is feeling the weight of fear and uncertainty right now. Stay focused and positive!

I received an email today saying that I'm alternate ? better than nothing. I hope someone decides to drop or something. Anyone n the same boat as me?
