Hey everyone, I was unfortunately not selected at Citrus... seems as though it was quite a competitive pool. Wishing nothing but success and the best to all of you selected and denied to Citrus.

My stats were:

Science GPA: 3.9

Cumulative GPA: 3.9

TEAS: 78%

Volunteer experience: 300+ hrs

Need to Work

Low Income

No degrees

your stats are amazing!!! I wonder why you weren't chosen! I hope you get into the other programs you applied to. I was not selected as well :( best of luck!!!

Sorry you didn't make it in. You definitely had competitive stats.

I had similar stats.

My TEAS were 90%.

Science 4.0.

GPA: 3.9.

I had Second Language; Low Income, 3 AA degrees;

No volunteer experience.

Must have been pretty close for all 10 that got chosen. I made it in. I was shocked I did because I knew it was going to be tough.

Don't give up!

Hi everyone! I just found out about this website and forum last week.

I got my letter today and I was placed on the ALTERNATE list. I have to accept or decline being on the waitlist and take the TEAS with Citrus since I haven't taken it yet. If I am successful on TEAS, I get to attend a mandatory meeting in June. Just have to do well on my TEAS!

My stats were:

Bachelor's Degree, No TEAS, Science 4.0, GPA (Actually don't know)

Second Language, Low Income & No Volunteer Experience

Hi Katliupakorn,

I believe you have great chances to make it in. My friend who is doing the ADN program at Citrus and is graduating at the end of this semester told me that they took 3 alternates for her cohort.

So keep positive!

Best of luck!

I will see you in June for the orientation!

Hi!

I just have to do well on my TEAS next month. It's been a while since I've taken micro bio, anatomy and physiology so studying the science portion right now is taking a little bit longer than expected.

I have some back up plans if things don't go as planned, but hopefully I do well! Thank you!

I received an acceptance letter for the generic option, however I may decline because I got accepted to Rio Hondo and it was one of my top choices

Hi. What do you use to study for TEAS? I remember seeing several people who got over 90 in HESI say they used an App to study. I feel it's a good idea. Practice is a good way to review in a short time.

I bought the "ATI TEAS Secrets Study Guide" by Mometrix Test Prep last summer on Amazon. I still have all my notes from anatomy, physiology, and micro.bio for further clarification so that has been helping.

I forgot to clarify that I was placed on the Generic Option waitlist.

For I have not taken TREAS, so I don't really know about it. My friend took both of HESI AND TEAS in winter and he said TEAS was harder HESI, esp. English part. Those science notes would help for sure. I am going to take the test, I would buy an App and do a lot of practices because I already forgot most of the knowledge. Doing practices is like a reacitivation of the memory for me.

Btw, I didn't apply to Citrus in the end because I don't want to take TEAS, lol. So I only applied to Mtsac. Still waiting for the email of acceptance.

For those who have taken the TEAS, what would you say was the hardest part of the science portion? I am the most nervous about the science portion of the test.

Were there any questions on the science portion that caught you off guard?

Last but not least, what would your advice be for preparing for the science portion?

Thank you !
