Hi! Thanks for the thread. Do you know how many students does Citrus take in each semester? What was last semester's cut line? According to their multi-criteria, I only have 70 points. I feel like I have little chance. Because I don't have working experience or volunteer hours.

Hi, melodywei! No, that is why I am making this thread because I am not so sure about certain logistics because there arent many threads or information about this. Wow, I calculated my points and I have 60 based off of the multi criteria because I have not taken any Kinesiology classes. So, I am not sure of the cut off or how competative the pool may be.

Hello everyone, I am applying to Citrus College for Fall 2018. According to the application workshop, there will be 20 spots for generic ADN program and 10 spots for LVN to RN program. I have 75 points based on their point system. I notice that Citrus college gives a huge point to students who have working in the healthcare which I am not qualify for that criteria. I believe the nursing consoulor mentioned that students who get accepted have 60s - 70s points.

Thanks for your information! I don't have the working experience either, which really measures a lot. I am applying to Mt Sac too. They have different addmission multi criteria system which focuses more on the academic grades. I hope I can get in this time.

I don't have working experience either. I don't even have volunteer hours :( Did you apply to LA county school? They weight heavily on GPA. Basically, they only look at GPA and TEAS score. They give only one point to veteran, volunteer and those who work for LA County. If you have high GPA and score well on TEAS, there will be very high chance to get in.

No. I only apply to Mt Sac. Citrus is my backup, but I am not sure if I can get in Citrus or not.

Hi Everyone,

I too applied for the LVN to ADN advanced placement option for Fall 2018. I also don't have work experience and I fear I won't make it in.

Which schools are referring to specifically in LA County?

Good luck everyone. I just turned in my Generic ADN application today. She said we would hear if we get in by April.

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for Fall 2018 Citrus Nursing program. I turned in my application two weeks ago. I really liked the nursing counselor and Dean, which draws me to this specific program.

My stats are:

Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and minor in Biology

TEAS 79% (first try) and 86% (second try) -- They don't require you to take the TEAS before, but I did so I could apply to other programs.

200+ hours of hospital internship

Science GPA: 3.77

Overall: 3.8

Life experience: need to work

I believe I had about 70-ish points, but I calculated it on my own so who knows. The faculty said we should know by mid/ end April. I'm nervous, but good luck to everyone applying!

Hi Emily_D1995

I have similar stats as you do. Minus the Bachelor's Degree and the work experience.

Science GPA: 4.0; Overall GPA: 3.8

TEAS: 80%

Second Language, Need to Work, etc.

I have about 76 pts based on my own calculations. The competition will be fierce!

Fingers crossed.

I believe you have high chances of making it in. Good luck, let's keep in touch so we can let each other know when we make it in (Positive mind)!
