I also applied for the Feb 2012 cohort, hoping and praying to get into the birthing center. I haven't heard anything yet, aside from the email asking to sign the background check waiver. I wonder how long it takes to hear back about an interview?

I applied for the Feb 2012 cohort, too. I received the waiver for the background check and that's all I've received since. I called and asked about the process, and I was told that there's a panel that goes through all the applications. They then forward the applications that made it through to the the the hospitals departments. I'm certain it takes some time to do this so I'm trying to stay patient. My instructors told me keep cool. I asked a friend of mine if she received the waiver for background check, and she told me that she told me no. (and I know she applied within the Oct time frame). I put in my apps here in Dallas, too. So, at this point, who knows....Good luck, though. I hope you get a spot at the birthing center :)

hello myrose! just want to ask if you're still with santa rosa and if u like it over there? i just moved to san antonio last week and i am planning to apply in christus medical center or main in downtown, under medical/surgical ICU. ive heard that staff nurses stay in Christus for years because of good working environment and nurse-patient ratio? hope u could give me advise. im looking into methodist and baptist too. thanks u!
