CHRISTUS Santa Rosa - San Antonio

Published

Has anyone heard back from the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Residency program? The nurse recruiter is not very helpful when I try calling her and asking her about the program. She said there would be phone calls in "later April" but didn't offer much insight after that.

I have not heard anything yet. :uhoh3: My friend got a call yesterday from them confirming what position she was applying for ( she checked all of them.) She was told that she would forward her app to those units? My quess is that the unit managers are just now getting the applications to review.

Keep me posted if you hear anything and I will do the same. Good luck! May I ask what position you are hoping for?

I wanted to the Peds, but it isnt being offered anymore! I am hoping now for the NICU, but I applied to all of them too! Ill keep you posted

I applied to most of them and haven't heard anything. I never even got a confirmation when I sent my letters and transcripts that my file was complete or anything. They seem overwhelmed with all of the applications! Hopefully we'll hear soon! Good luck to you both.

Sorry, forget the thing I said about the Peds thing ( i was thinking about Methodist SA hospital). The nurse recruiter said they weren't sending confirmations, and I believe she said they would only be notified if they were interested? Hope they speed this process up! I can't believe the internship starts at the end of July, doesnt that sound kind of late to you guys?

Did you also apply for the special care nursery? It is the step down unit for the NICU. I was told today that they will be schelduing interviews for next week and the week after. I have heard awesome things about the versant program. Fingers crossed!

I am officially done with nursing school today! :D

Hi! Just checking in to see how the job search is going...

I never heard anything back from anyone, and the recruiter said that the managers contact people only if they are interested.

Sorry to hear that. I heard Methodist had 109 applicants for NICU for 2 or 3 positions. I had an "in" and was able to get an interview but it didn't get me the job. It is crazy... Santa Rosa stopped taking apps after they got 1200 apps for only about 60 positions.

When I contacted Santa Rosa regarding the Versant program they suggested other facilities, unless I wanted to wait until next year for the next one to start up. How is everyone doing so far? Anyone get a job yet? I will be relocating to Texas soon. I am a little nervous as I haven't been offered a job yet, however I do have one interview the end of May and potentially another one around the same time.

I wish you all luck in your search. I am so glad there is at least one state where us new grads can go to gain experience.

I was offered a job at Santa Rosa. It was my 1st choice so I am pretty happy. Good luck on your interviews!

Has anyone heard anything about the Versant program this year @ CSR. I just applied today hoping to get in for Feb 2011.

How many do they accept and is it hard to get in?
