Hello All!
I have recently applied for the labor and delivery nurse residency program at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
I have made it through the first few steps of the application process, first being asked to submit references and do an online recorded interview (so different and nerve wracking!!!). Once these steps were complete, I was offered the opportunity to have an in person interview!
I will be going in for my interview in a little over a week, but I was wondering if anyone has experience interviewing for any of the nurse residency programs at Christiana, particularly the L&D one? I know I will be interviewing with a panel, including the nurse manager of the L&D unit.
Just looking for some advice as for what to expect and what kind of questions to prep for!!
I am so excited for this opportunity, and truly hope I am offered a position in the residency as L&D is my passion!

Hello! I'm also interviewing for the L&D residency in a few weeks. A friend of mine went through it last year. She told me that the interview consisted of a lot of "Tell me a time when" questions. She got an offer, but ended up declining to move away. They can teach us skills and concepts. It seems to me like they're looking at personalities and true interest in the department. Best of luck! Keep us posted!
Thank you for sharing that with me, its nice to connect with someone else who is as well interviewing for the residency!
Do you know how soon after her interview she was informed that she was offered the residency?
I will certainly keep you posted, and you do the same!! I have my interview in about a week, so I will let you know how it goes!
Last year, it took a few weeks to notify applicants. Hopefully, it doesn't take that long this time around!
I hope your interview went well and that you got one of the spots!!!! :)
