CHOP 2020?

Does anyone know anything about the CHOP nurse residency for December graduates? I know the last posting was for those graduating through October. When does CHOP traditionally have postings for nurse resident? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Christiana seems to be at different levels with everything. I know they have different "waves" of when they are interviewing with everything. I also applied to NICU at Christiana and haven't heard anything, but a week ago had my interview with postpartum and am waiting on a call from them. I know postpartum, ED, and L&D were in wave 1 which is now completed and offers are being made, but unsure about which wave NICU is in.

You don’t know how I much I needed to hear this today! I was getting so nervous thinking that I was getting passed over on this. Hopefully, both hospitals will get back to us soon!

@jcq92 I got an offer to L&D and NICU on Friday for Christiana! They are in the process of calling for offers!

When did you have the interview for the NICU? I’m still waiting for that part. I did the video interview (with the questions/no interviewer) and that was the last thing I’ve done but it was over a month ago.

@jcq92 I got the video interview link Jan 2nd and I found out about an interview on March 3rd. I interviewed March 11th and got the offer for both NICU and L&D on Friday. However, I know Christiana is doing the residency in different waves. Each residency is interviewing candidates in different waves! My friend interviewed for CC on March 2nd but my other friend just got an email about interviewing last week so I think everyone's applications are being processed at different times!

So I spoke with Christiana and unfortunately, I didn’t make it for the NICU ? The list was finalized already and offers are going out by now. At this point, I just want a job!! ? (and work my way into a NICU in a couple of years).

Thanks for this info! Who did you contact about this? I am interested in reaching out about a few positions that they have not gotten back to me yet.

I spoke with the nurse recruiter in HR. Unfortunately, they’re working from home from tomorrow onwards so she said email is the best way to reach them. I guess the same email they’ve been using to contact us with.

I'm trying to catch up on the previous comments, but which start date had you applied for?

I applied for July (I don't remember when I put in the app) - I put down ED or Med/Surg. Just a week ago, I got the invite to submit references and my video interviews for Med/Surg and Float Pool. I haven't heard from the recruiter since then and I remember at the end of my video interviews there was the video of the recruiter saying interviews were going to happen at the end of March, which is in a few days and now I am getting nervous.

I applied to Christiana for July start date right after Christmas and received the references and online interview links days after, before New Years. I went months without hearing anything and heard back to interview for 2 different residencies, and I know Christiana is in the process of calling out offers right now for a handful of residencies.

I would maybe reach out to the nurse recruiter. I haven't heard of anyone getting the link to complete the online interview this late, but I don't know if they have different stages for that stuff. Sorry, I hope it works out!
