CHOP Nursing externship 2017

Has anyone found the application to apply for the nursing externship at CHOP yet? I know the applications usually come out around this time but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If someone could help me out i'd really appreciate it!

Oh totally!! It's finals time! I think I might call just to see what that was about (I'll let you know what they say), I applied through their website but I attached my LinkedIn.. I found the deadline in the email, they attached a flyer for the position with the application deadline and all of the requirements! Also- did you complete junior year or will you be starting senior year in Fall 2017? That confuses me lol

okay sounds good!! I'm going to try to apply within the next few days and I'll let you know what happens when i apply if you haven't called by then, and I will be starting my senior year in fall 2017, so by the time the externship starts I will have completed my junior year!:)

Hey! I applied for the externship on Sunday evening. I know they were having issues with the application being recognizable as the summer externship because it didn't have the summer specific requirements listed yet! That's also why we all couldn't find the application! Regarding that email you were sent with the flyer for the position, I did not get that email! I'm wondering if maybe I had applied before they sent it? I just got the "thank you for applying we will review your resume etc" general email. Did it say that it was because you had saved the application but not applied maybe? Also, did it say when we'd hear about interviews or anything? Thanks!!

That makes so much sense! That's basically what the email said. I called today and the person I spoke with said she didn't know what the email was about (I read it to her), but we have to have the requirements listed by the time we begin the externship (senior year 2017). I received the generic email also, but I applied last Wednesday so I'm thinking maybe I got the other email because the requirements weren't posted yet? I'm not sure when we'll hear about interviews but I'm assuming some time in December! :)

Oh okay that makes sense to me too! I had originally called because I was told that the "nurse extern/co-op" position was different than the summer specific position and that was how this new one was listed. The first 2 people I spoke with both didn't realize that was the application either but were able to connect me with someone super helpful to tell me that it was the correct application. I think in years past the job title was specific for the summer so I just think it was a miscommunication that they were trying to fix so we all had a fair opportunity to apply! I'm so excited to hear back from them! Let us know if you hear anything! :)

Agreed that's totally what happened! I accidentally applied for that position also LOL and was obviously disqualified because I don't go to either of the schools for the co-op requirement... whoops! I'm so excited/nervous to hear back also, I definitely will! Same to you :)

Hello!! just checking back in! I just finished my application, though i seemed to only have received an automatic email and did not receive the flyer for the position!

Yay!!! Same thing with me. I think the flyer was only because I applied in the beginning/applied for the Co-Op accidentally LOL ... I wonder when they'll contact about interviews (if I even get one)! So nervous!

I am very nervous as well but i wish you the best of luck!:) I hope it doesn't take too long for them to get back to us!! I hope we are both awarded the opportunity for an interview! I've had my mind set on this externship and really hope it turns out well!!
