Choosing between prek-8 or HS?

Hi everyone,

I am an early hire in my district, and one of the perks is that I get to choose my setting. I'm trying to choose between a prek-8 job (covering 2 schools) and a HS job (covering only one high school). I've worked in both settings in different capacities and liked both so I'm having a hard time choosing. What do you think are the pros and cons of each?

Specializes in Pediatrics Retired.
K-8, love the littles for the smile factor, the middle schoolers for teaching.

I'd go to 2 locations for K-5 (I'd prefer K-4) but not for 6/7/8. :no:

Wow, lots of votes for HS. I ended up going with the K-8 (turns out no pre-k after all). I agree 2 schools will be a challenge, but they're close together at least. Thanks for giving me lots to consider.
