My opinion would be to just review on your own. Don't be afraid to take it w/o the benefit of a review center. You can do w/o it. Believe me. But don't ever, ever review and work at the same time. The batting ave. for those who does this are very low and it doesn't matter if they did self-study or went to a review center.
If you are going to review for any board examination it has to be a dedicated review.
Allnurses.com has an NCLEX discussion forum if you haven't discovered it yet.
Hi!i Jst want to ask any NCLEX Passers from the philippines.. what, in your opinion, is a good or probably the best review center here??
I really dont know which review center should i go..
i reviewed to pentagon in my local exam..
How bout you guys who already passed? or for those who are reviewing right now.. what do you guys think?
If I were you I would just do it by self review. What more if you are a new graduate.
I am a graduate of 1991 and I took and passed my RN and LVN more than a month ago by doing self review. Use Saunders they are good in my opinion.
Lawrence and Rep are right! There are several good review centers, but I doubt very much if there is anything else they can add to what you can find in very good references, such as Saunders Comprehensive Review. It takes time and effort to read/study on your own, but a lot cheaper. Another advantage of self review is that you can always go at your own pace.
If you follow Suzanne's guide for using Saunders, you will realize that self-review is so much better than enrolling in a review center. Just go to a quiet place and study using Suzanne's guide at a time you choose. I heard her study plan has a very high passing rate.
If you live around Manila area, then Kaplan is your best bet. However, if you live around Ortigas, Mandaluyong, Marikina or Pasig area Rachell Allen Review Center is recommended.
Under what conditions are you recommending the above? Have you actually attended class there, or a direct friend of yours?
Sorry, but with all of the irregularities going on with the exam and the review centers, just that you heard does not cut it.
And any review center that is paricipating in getting a contract for you to work in the US is acting as a recruiter, and that is illegal for them to do in the Philippines without a recruiter license.
Please check out your sources well, before posting. Too many people have been hurt in the past.
