CHOC RN Residency / Fellowship Program - October 2016 Cohort

Published

For those who have applied, have you heard back yet?

Hey I couldn't reply to your private message, but I think it was Jessica? She was one of the managers but it was Kristin who emailed me afterwards.

Do you know how many open positions are available for NICU?

The optimistic part of me keeps saying, it's not a no until they say no. But the realistic side is saying there no logical reason why they would have waited so long to email me if they wanted me. :(

Did you apply to the fellowship program?

Ya I think mine was Jessica too. Can't muster up the courage to email her and say thanks for the phone interview. And ask what I could have done better.

I'm in the same boat as you. I answered the call from Kristen after working the night before, so it definitely caught me off guard and I was a bit sleepy. Ugh. I don't think I did well on the interview either :( I applied for Fellowship

Kristen even confirmed my email address at the end of our interview but maybe I just didn't do that well :/

Yeah trust me I was totally caught off guard with the phone call since I'm used to phone interviews being scheduled but I guess they get honest unreheorificed answers that way. Idk how many spots are open but I applied for residency.

Did any of your submission statuses change at all or did it remain as "completed" once you were contacted for an interview?

When did you all graduate/pass the NCLEX and are you from CA?

Hi everyone, I received a phone interview for NICU yesterday and was emailed to schedule an interview today. The manager I spoke on the phone with said they were still deciding who they wanted to invite for an interview & that they would be interviewing for the next three weeks. I applied for the new grad residency if that makes a difference.

Also the phone interview completely threw me off as well, I wasn't expecting it at all.

My submission status still says "completed."

I graduated this past March, passed NCLEX in June. I went to school out of state but I am from CA.

Congrats on your interview! Mine was yesterday and they were so nice! Did you take NCLEX for CA?

I'm glad they were really nice! Hearing that kind of takes some of the interview anxiety away for me haha. Was it a panel? How many people were there? Yes, I applied directly to CA when I graduated.
