CHOC New Grad Residency August 2022

Hi everyone! I applied for the new grad program at CHOC for the NICU. Good luck to all of the applicants. 

I got an email from HR it could possibly be different dependent on the unit though!

Hey, I had an interview with NICU yesterday! They told me they're still doing interviews for another week and that it'd take 2 weeks to hear back. What unit did you apply for?

Yes! I applied to med/surg and eating disorder at mission hospital... when did you get the interview email?

Also was yours for the mission campus or main campus?

Oh okay, thank you! I applied to the medical unit. She said HR will call the candidates they picked within the week so just trying not to stress haha

Sorry mines for the main campus in orange! I received the email June 3rd from HR. It was a virtual interview

Haha OMG okay! My heart DROPPED for a second there! Mission campus seems to be taking it's time... or so I'm hoping ? Congrats on your interview and best of luck to you!!

Did something happen with Long Beach memorial that made you want to decline their offer for NICU? I am curious if nothing works out, if it is worth applying there again next round.

Hi! I haven’t accepted or declined anything yet. The timeline for Long Beach and CHOC just aligned for me.

Hi! I haven’t accepted or declined anything yet. The timeline for Long Beach and CHOC just aligned for me.

That is fantastic, the stars were aligned! No one wants to feel like they have to say "yes" to the first offer before knowing what options exist.
