CHLA RN residency September 2015

Published

Hi all, just starting a new thread to see where everyone is at regarding application to the CHLA RN residency program scheduled for September 2015! What units did you apply to, and who has received their packet information?

Do you guys have your test dates yet? Or do you already have your license?

Flybabe644 I don't have either. I called the BRN last week and they said I should get my ATT "soon" because I applied in the beginning of April. So fingers crossed I can take the test soon!

Yea I'm the same boat. They told me they received my application April 2nd. Some of my classmates already took their boards makes me just want to take the test and get on with enjoying the rest of my summer.

I could not agree more! It is so hard to study without a test date. At least we don't have to have our license until the end of August. I have friends starting new grad programs mid-July. That is a stress I definitely don't need!

I just took my NCLEX this week and I am officially an RN! So happy and excited! I really hope you guys receive your ATTs soon so you can get your license! Any of you receive your packets or get contacted by HR yet?

Congrats RNJedi! I'm still waiting on my ATT :(

i received an email from HR 2 days ago and set up my appointment with new employee health. I haven't received a packet yet tho but at this point I just want to receive my att

I got my ATT and scheduled my test but I haven't heard from HR yet.

Congrats!! Any tips on how to study?

Questions, questions, and questions! Practicing questions and getting yourself familiar with prioritization, delegation, and NCLEX style questions really helped me a lot! Reviewing rationales for both wrong and right answers were essential and I personally thought it was better than reviewing content. Content is still important so save some time to review stuff you're not sure about.

Just an update - I passed the boards (yay!) and I've heard from HR, the RN Residency Manager and my unit educator so things are moving along! So excited for this journey to begin!
