CHLA RN new grad

Just wanted to start this thread for those who applied for the RN Residency for March 2017. I haven't received a packet or anything...

I don't know if they'll ask the same questions because different units but be prepared to talk about why you chose that unit. Clinical experience: what you consider as the worst and best things about nursing.

The interview is literally timed 10 minutes.

I was so nervous that I fumbled alot through it despite my preparation but the interviewers were nice.

I got a call last Friday for an interview in ED. My 10 minute interview will be this Friday and I'm super nervous:( Any advice for it? Anything will be greatly appreciated! Good luck to all of those who have interviewed and are about to be interviewed!

I ended up getting the call! :) Out of order so I don't think they go alphabetically. Good luck to everyone! I interview this Friday for 4th floor.

Did anyone that do the PICU speed interview get a call back for the second round of interviews?

I have not yet. But my friend has just an hour ago. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and still keeping up hope.

They can't eliminate alot of us. There are 6 spots and as far as I know only 16 people who got the initial interview.

Hi, has anyone who interviewed on Friday, November 28th received a call regarding a second interview? I haven't heard anything yet, but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't the only one! Ahh, good luck to everyone! :)

Hey healthcareCompanion - I had an interview on Friday and have not heard back either way as well. They mentioned that Halloween was Big for them so I was anticipating some delay in decisions being made. Best of luck to everyone :)

I also interviewed last week on Tuesday October 25th and have not heard back yet about a second interview! SO nerve wracking!!! Good luck to everyone!

Unfortunately I did not get called back. Guess it wasn't meant to be.
