I decided to create this thread for anyone applying to Children's Medical Center of Dallas for the July 2016 Nurse Residency Program! Good luck to everyone! She called me first, but I've been pestering her for the past week since I told her I have another offer lol... They apparently don't send out written offers or anything until they are sending out the whole hiring packet. So you guys will probably be hearing soon!

Yup I interviewed at the beginningish of July. I had a recorded video interview where I recorded myself answering some questions and the submitted it through this program. Then I was called back to move forward with interviews with the hiring managers and I interviewed with two different units, the Clinical Resource Team (float pool) and the Plano ED. They asked me mostly behavioral questions, asked how I demonstrate their core values in my practice, what would I do if my patient started seizing, etc.... Not terribly difficult. The recruiter asked me to rank my choices (which I believe she does with everyone) and a couple weeks later she called me with an offer, which I accepted.

Good luck to everyone. I don't know if you are all still waiting to hear. I accepted a job offer elsewhere as it was for my number one specialty: NICU :)

Hey guys, so my friend from class recieved a phone call from the recruiter today...She didn't get the CRT position. I still have not heard anything from Children's. Has anyone heard yet?

i still haven't heard anything and I'm from out of state! It'd be nice to know soon so i can plan my move!

sarahb2024 - have you gotten an official email or anything from childrens? i still haven't heard anything and i've emailed and called my recruiters office phone :(
