childrens greencards.

Apologies if every one already knows this but it came as a suprise to me and quite by chance.

I had my bag stolen from my car last night, along with my life!!!!!! anyway when looking to report my greencard stolen I found on the website that if children are issued with a greencard before they are 14 then they have to be renewed when they turn 14.

They have to be fingerprinted at a cost of $70 and if its not done within 30 days of their birthday theres an additional $190 charge.

so they have to have a new greecard? thats typical as my daughter will get her first one 3 months before her 14th birthday, then need a new one!

I am really sorry to hear about your handbag that is awful-I didnt know that about the GC so i will keep it in mind for the future. Mind you my little dd doesnt even have one yet

Thanks both of you, today has been a long day as its bad enough stopping cards etc but I had me nursing license, greencard, driving license and cpr licence in my purse too and with all this identity fraud here its a bit of a worry really.

The telephone call to the INS went on forever, but anyway my cars fixed all is sorted just waiting for all the new cards arrive.

I do not know when i am coming for good, however i am over in the USA on the 13th of April for a week to activate my visa.

thanks, thats very nice of you but im going to florida as its not so far, i hate flying and this time i will be the only adult flying in our group

was gonna try new york (even closer) but more expensive for a shorter break and flipping cold!

plus i think my children could do with a holiday
