Hi I’m a senior nursing student from Pitt graduating in April and I thought I would start this thread up for people applying to Registered Nurse I positions at Children’s National so we could all be in the know with what’s going on. So far I have applied to Beacon 7 and Hem-onc.

Hey, I didn't really ask. It's a hard question to ask haha. I feel like it'll be a few because of how many people they are interviewing. Like they wouldn't interview for a month and then only hire one or two, It would just be too time consuming.
Has anyone gotten an interview for the Emergency Medicine residency? I've been on the "hiring manager interview.." stage for so many weeks and I don't know how to move beyond it.
@PedsNurse2018 @cheer26 Did you guys both just get spontaneous calls/voicemails? No email? I've tried to follow up with the nurse recruiting office but since it's the department that actually sets up the interviews I don't know how helpful that is.. Thanks!

Yeah I got a spontaneous call for an interview on Neuro from the clinical educator. Also applied to both emergency medicine and general medicine and have been in the “Evaluation in progress” stage for a month, no interviews. It was weird for neuro because I was Evaluation in progress for 2 days then I got a call to interview.

Yes I got a phone call about a week after I applied. However I’ve heard this happen before and they eventually called so I’d just be patient. I’m sure it’s on there to do list
