Hey all! Just starting a thread for those who’ve applied to the upcoming March 2021 cohort for Children’s Hospital Colorado. I know the application period does not end until Dec 11, but wanted to start the topic early for those who want to ask questions, advice, consult, chit chat, etc.

Specializes in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

I also got rejected! It makes me wonder how many people they actually accept each year if none of us even got interviews. I’m moving to Colorado Springs regardless though so if any of you are in the area stop by and say hi! We can grab a drink and bond over being a part of the rejection squad ?

LOL ? Makes me wonder if they only hired internally? It’s wild all of us got rejected!

Super weird! I figured at least one person on here for sure would snag an interview, alas... wishing everyone luck on their nursing journeys regardless! I recently started an RN position with CVS giving COVID vaccinations within the community that I have been enjoying, if anyone has been seeing any similar positions. Great pay, company, and experience in the meantime! ☺️

I've been following this thread off and on but just made an account to comment. I got rejected too, It's so weird nobody on here got an interview! I'm not sure what's going on at Colorado Children's specifically but it seems like in general a lot of Children's hospitals have been hiring less/ some have even furloughed nurses since the pandemic started, so maybe that's part of it :( But I wish you all the best! You're all going to be amazing! remember the first job will likely be the hardest to land but once we all have experience it will be different :)

Hey ladies! I have been following lowkey the whole time as well to see updates and such. I am beyond heartbroken to received my rejection as well. I have so much pediatric experience & pulled an externship at a top ranked pediatric oncology hospital! I am so curious the criteria or if they chose external at all. Regardless - we will all succeed as nurses moving forward and, if we chose, will get that spot at CHC later on. Let’s all go be amazing nurses ?
