Hi everyone.
I am planning on applying to Chico states' Nursing program for spring start. I just got my acceptance letter for the school itself, but have no yet applied to the program yet.
I just want to know about the school a little more. I wanted to see what everyone thinks about the city itself and the school, the good and the bad.
If you can just tell me your opinions about the academics, the staff, and faculty I would love to hear.
I would also appreciate what you think of the people and the city itself.
I have a tour scheduled for in a few weeks, but I really would like to hear what other people think too.
Thank you! :)
Yeah that's tough :/ I put my daughter in daycare to get her adjusted to it because she'll be in it lots if I get in. Didn't want it to be a shock. Just had to prepare like I'm getting in, even if I don't. Can you tell the people your situation? You're not moving until December if you get in right?
Right, I'd probably move at the end of Dec or begining of Jan. I really want to find a part-time job as a lab assistant/phlebotomist (what I do now) because I'm not sure how much financial aid I will qualify for because I already have a bachelors and even though I don't make a lot of money I probably made too much in 2013 to qualify for the full amount. And that just complicates things further because all the nicer places I've found require you to make 3x the rent per month.
I'm going to chico regardless whether or not i'm getting into the program, so I'm trying to find a nice place to live.
I also need to find a job, I'm hoping my company can transfer me. I still need to go in to talk to them. If not hopefully I can easily find a job as a Personal Care Assistant since that's what I do now.
I wish I has some kind of degree already, because then I would have a hook up to get an Austism Behavioral Aide job.
Ceci For financial aid, you can already check on the chico portal to see how much financial aid you get. They posted mine already.
Yikes. Over 100? I wonder where they all stand point wise. Now I'm even more worried.
K2115, do you know if they get your application right away after you submit it on nursingcas?
I hope we get in this spring, because i'm sure it will be even harder to get in during the fall since alot of schools won't even be accepting for spring start anymore, so everyone is going to try to apply for fall starts.
I don't think they get them right away. NursingCAS has to process your transcripts and that takes a couple of weeks. Once that is done and your application is complete they will send it to Chico. I think the advisors can see that it's in progress but they can't start calculating point totals until it's finished.

I'm so stressed from all this... From worrying about getting in, finding a place to live and finding a car to buy.
Can we fast forward time?
