Chemistry Help

Does anyone know of any good websites to help with Chemistry? This is by far the HARDEST prereq for me since I started school. If I do not pass Chemistry this semester, it's going to put me a whole year behind. :crying2: And I really do not want that to happen since I started school in the fall of 09 plus I have taken summer classes. I am just not getting chemistry at all.

I dont know of any good chemistry websites, but maybe you can see if your school offers tutoring in chemistry (usually its free_). I would go to the chemistry department or a tutoring area at your school to find tutors. Its usually better one-on-one with someone who can answer your questions or you could try youtube and find people doing things related to chemistry.

I have been having the same problem. I never took Chemistry in high school, so taking it now is like trying to learn another language. Very difficult. I have found http://chemistry.about.com/od/homeworkhelp/Chemistry_Homework_Help.htm somewhat useful...good luck!

What subject of chemistry are you specifically having trouble with?

I liked thatquiz.org to help me with memorization of the periodic table (learned it in 2 days using the quiz on that site). Chemistry felt like it kicked my butt all up and down this fall semester, but I made it out with an A :) You can pass! Just find some clarity!

If there is a particular subject/section that I struggle with, I always turn to youtube for visual assistance. There are so many great professors, students, etc that might explain it more simplistically. I too love khanacademy.org on youtube as well!

My chemistry teacher used a site called chemfiesta.com a lot to help us learn. I printed some worksheets off of it to do but I'm not sure how good his notes or lectures are.

Thanks for all the replies! So far we are learning: Ionic Compounds, Classes of compounds and today the entire class period was spent on different aspects of Lewis structures. A lady in my class goes to a chemistry tutor at school once a week for two hours and this week I am going to start joining her. Hopefully that will help! It's also nice to have these websites as well that way I can kind of teach myself before going to the tutor.
