Chemeketa 2018

Anyone else getting ready to apply for the 2018 nursing program?

Sorry to break it to you, but you probably don't have a good chance of getting in. Apply to other places, and try to remember what the test style was like and the subject matters that you did poorly on to focus your studying, and hopefully you will do better next time. Last time, the cut off was 304, and I think the cut off for alternates was around 300.

Does anyone know how many people applied this year compared to last year?

This may be a ridiculous question: but if the alternates from last year are unable to use their 5 alternate points, the total scorecard would be out of 310, correct?

So perhaps your odds would be better then, Lizzy.

People who got in last year, only missed 6 points or less out of the 310 possible points for non-alternate, and the candidates who ended up as alternates have missed up to 12 points out of those 310, so do not lose hope we don't know what the average Kaplan score was this year.

And was last year the year they only admitted 40 rather than 48 or was that the year before?

On mychemeketa it says that the nursing score sheet should be out on 4/20 does anyone know when emails are sent out?

Hi again all. So I went to look back at the application for this year and the total points listed was 315 which included the 5pts for previous alternates. So maybe this is the last year for those points? Idk just something I noticed.

I have been wondering that myself. I wish we had more black and white information. I hate that scorecards take so long. We all have a pretty good idea of our points I think since we've been obsessing about them since we began these prerequisites. Lol. (Or maybe that's just me??)

Has anyone gotten their scorecard yet? Do they send them all out at one time or as they complete each one?

I think they email everyone once they complete all nursing score sheets.

Looks like last year the last day to take Kaplan exam was on April 14 and then everyone got their score sheet by April 19 to be checked and on May 1st they got the acceptance emails. So if they are fast as last year we should be getting ours pretty soon

Does anyone have any ideas on how best to study for that writing portion? I have very little hope of getting in this year and it is all due to that writing section :( I received 90's in all the other categories so I want to get a game plan for this coming year to prepare. Thoughts? Advice?
