I am hoping that is the case! It is super discouraging to hear that we may not find out this month. Regardless fingers crossed ?

I guess I just have a hard time understanding the process. Not trying to be rude at all they just have the points finalized  so I almost feel like it’s pretty simple after that? Especially since there is a dedicated team of people who focus on it. Even if they just said this is why it takes so long.. etc it would be helpful!

I have the same mind set. If the points are finalized, then why would it take a whole month to figure out the top 40 plus alternates? I’m not trying to be rude either. I know they have other responsibilities but I feel like this is not a time consuming thing. At least, it shouldn’t be. My acceptance/regret of the program will determine my living situation this fall so the sooner I know, the more time I have to figure it out.

Yes! Unless a bunch of people received the same scores- that's the only real reason I can figure as to why it would be more than a data pull ?‍♀️

I agree, they could at least send an email update.

there may be a lot of people with errors that need to be corrected?

I saw a job posting on May 5 for a nursing instructor they probably are trying to fulfill another spot to accept more students!

That's what I'm thinking. I have a friend who's in the program now and she told me they have 2 new instructors, apparently they had 3 retire last year maybe that's why they only took 32. So I'm guessing they are trying to hire a third so that they can accept 40?

40 is already confirmed that’s how many will be accepted so if they hire another instructor they’ll accept 48.

Oh good, crossing my fingers they get another instructor!

I know first year and second year instructors are different so they have to be able to balance the incoming class with current class as well. There are 5 second year and 5 first year and adding another they may still only accept 40 if second year would then be short an instructor when first year moves to second....if that makes sense ?

I hope you all hear ASAP. I think a big reason it’s taking them longer is because they have to get approval to go onto campus for everything due to covid. So there may be only a certain day they are approved to do it all. Which sucks for you all. I hope it’s sooner than anticipated
