  1. I had 305 points and was accepted! But I hope if you are reading this you don't give up. I'm a mom of 5, 34 years old starting Nursing School! I had applied in 2020 and was waitlisted. I didn't think it was in the cards for me but couldn't let my dream go. It's not a No, it's a Not Yet!
  2. The waiting is the hardest part. Am I the only one who thinks about it on a daily basis?😅
  3. I'm actually stressed about it. I did well on it the first time, considering those messed up ones. Now I feel pressure to make sure I at least get the same score..
  4. Got an email this morning! They are having everyone retake it. I'm not sure if it was just the people at my session or what. There were three times available. It's next Friday snd Saturday. Then they will need some time to send out scoresheets I assume.
  5. OK guys. You won't believe what happened at the Kaplan exam last night. Apparently they had rolled out an update that day.. which included questions that didn't have the correct answer even listed. I spent 15 minutes on a math question about to crash out, when I showed the nice lady, she said a couple other students had that problem within this session. It happened to me 4 times! So now she has to appeal with Kaplan. Some people are retaking it. It's a whole thing. She said that scoresheets will hopefully be out in a couple weeks and then once all the discrepancies, if any, are fixed, then they will send out official emails hopefully by the second week in May.
  6. I take my Kaplan today. With kids home for Spring break last week, I picked a time that I could study in silence before taking it. My biggest question though, can you use scrap paper for the math portion?
  7. I got an email this morning!
  8. That makes me feel better that maybe it was them not sending them out when they thought they would vs just me! Super random - your name is spelled SO UNIQUE!
  9. Before the Kaplan I'm sitting at 255. I'm a little worried though as I never received an email at the end of the week like they said they would send out. I tried calling and emailing to make sure I was good to go.
  10. What ended up happening for you guys?? ? Did you get in or alternate? Do you know the lowest "points" applicant that was admitted?
  11. But it's not required from what I was reading in the application, you just get more points for it. I just went back and double checked and you aren't required to have your CNA next year. I know not all CMA's duties are the same at each clinic, but at mine we literally spend more time with the patients than the actual providers on some level. We irrigate wounds, help with dressings, assist with minor surgeries (I have some crazy vasectomy stories LOL) etc. I'm not trying to say I'm better than anyone with a different title, I just find it extremely discouraging that my 7 years of in depth medical assisting isn't enough. :(
  12. Has anyone seen the updated application?? There was talk on here about making the CNA mandatory but what they ended up doing was giving 5, 4 and 3 points based off an active license. I find it really discouraging as I’m a Certified Medical Assistant and draw blood, give injections of medications and vaccinations, perform EKGs etc and it’s only 3 point title. I’m not saying anything bad about CNA’s at all, but do they do blood and/or injections??
  13. My email states 40 were accepted! does anyone know if they keep you updated each time you were to move up on the list or is it something that you just check in on?
  14. I’m assuming they did the acceptance once’s first, I didn’t get one so I’m thinking my alternate/no email is coming.
