Chattanooga State Night Nursing Program Hopefuls 2017

Published

Who is anxious about the upcoming program application deadline? What are your points? Looking forward to meeting night program hopefuls!!!

Where did you get this info from? If this is true, this makes me feel so much better! I did hear from my acedemic advisor that the night program is a little easier to get into. Praying that's the case!

I hope we do!!! If I'm not mistaking, for the 2015 night program, the lowest points were 72????.... if so you still have a great chance of getting in!

Good luck to you! There is a post a couple above yours with a link that shows the scores for the previous year's acceptance points. :)

If you go here you will see what last year's entrance statistics were.

It does look like the lowest score someone made that got into the 2016 day program was 72.4%. Perhaps this person had other characteristics that offset this low number (perhaps a very high GPA and/or course points).

Good Luck to all of you!!!!! Keep us posted on those acceptance letters! I have been checking my email daily lol..... You never know if they might come early! Wishful thinking!

I check mine all day everyday as well lol I cant take waiting! I want to know now!

Omg this process is terrifying. I really would like to know already.

So to kill some time in this horrid waiting process, did you apply to the day or night program? How are your points when you calculated them? How did you do on the TEAS test? What prerequisites do you have left to take?

I applied to the night program due to two little ones and working full time. My points are at 75 (so nervous and doubtful I will get in because of this) but I have 5 prerequisites to finish. I did ok on my teas. When I talked to my acedemic advisor, she told me this was the last year they are counting just the math and written portion. Next year all 4 section will count towards the program.

I applied to the Day program. I have 87.212 points, made 78 on the teas with 83.4 in math and 89 in reading. I am currently enrolled in lifespan and nutrition. I transferred from Dalton State and my nutrition didn't transfer because it was a 2 credit hour class vs 3 credit hour at Chat State. I am so ready for my nursing journey to begin! I hate this wait to find out if we're in or not. :nailbiting:

I applied to the night program. My point total is 86.4. On my teas I made an 81.3 in math and an 89.4 in reading. I have all of my supporting classes and prerequisites finished except Nutrition and Microbiology which I am taking now. I check my emails daily just hoping we will hear something early. The wait is killing me.

That's awesome!!!! I am taking a&p1 and nutrition at the moment. Then I have micro, a&p2 and lifespan. I really wished the classes we were taking at the moment counted, that would be amazing!

I applied to the day but was thinking about applying to the night program simply because I heard it was a little easier to get into the night program even though they both are extremely competitive. I last minute just chose to apply to the day program and I did. I calculated 81.7 total points. My nursing GPA was only a 3.39 with 10 course points (taking micro and lifespan now) and I made a 87.5 math teas score and a 61.7 :( reading score. I wish I just had more time to take the teas because I know that I can do better.. I hope and pray we all get it, I just wish we knew already!! The wait is killing me lol. Whether I made it in or not, at least I'll know ya know? Sooooo stressful. I agree with @Hars2017, if the classes we're currently in played a factor I'm sure we'd all feel a little better.

I read on a thread from 2015 hopefuls, that they received their emails 3/25.... Maybe they will send them early this year also!!! Wishful thinking! :)
