It's unpredictable because you never know how many people decide to decline their acceptance. Sometimes they wait until they hear from other nursing schools to decide before they make their commitment. One thing that hurts a lot of applicants this year is that there isn't a nursing program at Cleveland State (that I'm aware of) anymore, plus Chattanooga State's LPN program is being discontinued. Who knows? Maybe some Chattanooga State applicants will get into some other local schools like SAU, UTC, or even some in north Georgia, after which they would decline Chattanooga State.

I'm going to create a Facebook page for the RN night class of 2019. Anyone who plans on attending the night program and wants to be a part of the group, please look me up on Facebook and send me a message. My last name is Hall. Thanks, and good luck all!

I got into the night program. It looks like they are doing exactly what the LPN program did about admissions emails. Only after they received your confirmation letter did they proceed to then send out the remaining application forms for you to sign. Probably didn't want to send out massive forms to a bunch of people who won't attend even after being accepted.

Had clinicals at the Bend last night and will be going again tonight. If I don't hear anything from the RN admission's office soon, I'll just check myself in while I'm there. So has anyone else's brain aneurysm blown yet?

Sounds like another week of drinking to me. Ugh. I'd like to know where that sign is. I've been at school everyday this week and looked around for anything pertaining to the RN program but I didn't see anything. This was in the new(er) Health Center building.

Every time I get an email from allnurses.com saying there's a new post on this topic, I immediately start clicking like I've never clicked before. On a side note, I'm wondering if any of my current nursing textbooks will be used in the RN class. Spent so much dang money on books, it's crazy.

I'm like this everyday in class. My classmates should feel so lucky. Those here who may see me in class in the future should prepare for these in class, too. :)

I GOT IN...to my email and there was still nothing from school. :) Sorry, my anxiety brings out the smart A in me and I had to do it just once.

I thought about posting on April 1st that I got my email...but then I thought no. Being an April Fool's joke would be too cruel. :)

I've seen a lot of reviews in book and video format about how to make it through nursing school. My smallest concerns were things like figuring out how to study, finding time to study, and how to deal with personality difficulties. The biggest thing I have discovered, at least through my practical nursing program, is that no book or lecture I read prepared me on how to critically think. I did not realize how much critical thinking skills were extremely necessary when it comes to nursing school. If you guys can find some video tips or books on how to improve your critically thinking skills I think it would serve you better than figuring out how to deal with the other things that can be dealt with by more practical means. Just my two cents.

I'm curious where exactly you saw that post? Was it online or at campus somewhere?

Our program director said that there were over 400 applicants that applied for about 150 slots. I think the 150 slots she was talking about were for the day program. I think the night program has about 50 or so. Still haven't heard anything else yet. LPN school is brutal right now but the prospect of RN school makes it a little more bearable.
