Chattanooga State Night Nursing Program Hopefuls 2017

Published

Who is anxious about the upcoming program application deadline? What are your points? Looking forward to meeting night program hopefuls!!!

Post on here when you guys start getting your letters!!!! Best of luck to you!

Hey! I'm new to the board. I applied for the night program this year and was wondering if anyone knows when we get an email/letter about acceptance or denial??

Hi. I applied for the night program also. I read in an earlier comment that we should receive emails by mid April.

Hey y'all! I spoke to a woman who is the academic completion specialist last Thursday and she told me we'd find out by the second week of April. April can't get here fast enough :nailbiting:

Thanks. I am so excited and anxious. It feels like mid April will never get here.

Nervous isn't the word. More like terrified!

Same here. My points were 85.5...and I lacked micro and nutrition which I am doing now. I just want to know I made it in, which makes April seem forever away.

I know exactly how you all feel. I went through this same anxious process this time last year when I applied for the school's LPN night program. I worried for nothing because I easily got in, but I mostly just went into the LPN program first in case I didn't get into the subsequent night RN program (and I could at least work as a nurse until I tried applying again).

As for my situation, I have 89.xx total points and I only have Nutrition left to do. I'm hoping I can wait until after the RN program starts to take it since LPN school is taking every free minute of my time until August. There's a long boring story of why I'm not doing the transition program from LPN to RN, so I'm just applying for the straight-up RN night program. After reading previous Chattanooga State RN program allnurse posts, the cutoff points have steadily dropped by 1-2 points every year and was last to be seen in the low-80's (for the day class, at least). However, the night program is definitely easier to get into. Here is something that might help you guys get a picture of how the last admitted classes did. Good luck, ladies. Maybe if I get in I won't be the only guy in class. :-/

I applied to the Day program and I am praying and hoping that I get in. I applied to Dalton State's program the last two years. The first year I was put on the waitlist and the second time I was outright denied because in Oct of 2015 I was in an ATV accident which caused me to have an emergency splenectomy and I was stuck in the hospital for 9 days and I was out of commission for a few months. My spleen was cut completely in half and I had to have two blood transfusions. At least I got some patient experience lol Anyway, I was ready to try somewhere different and I love Chattanooga State so I decided to apply there. I have 87.212 points. I'm praying it's enough. I am ready for this journey to begin!

I keep hoping they will send acceptance emails early.

Hey everyone! I am so excited I found this thread because I am in the same boat. I applied for the Fall Night Program. I am beyond nervous because I am currently taking A&P1 and Nutrition, so those didn't count towards my points. Then, I lack A&P2, Micro, and Lifespan. So I feel like my chances are very slim. Praying for all the hopefuls! Good luck!
