Hi everyone!
I'm interested if anyone else has applied to CAMC/UCWV for the 2025 cohort? I know it was a crazy turnaround time, with first day for application submission starting May 3rd and last day ending May 24th, but I hope there are others out there so we can compare experiences! Let me know 🙂

I am just curious. I work at a level one center in the trauma ICU (ABSN 2022) started in TICU as a new grad, CCRN, very active with extra roles on unit (head safety coach, skin team, precepting), second bachelors chemistry based, started several initiatives on my unit, unit council representative for regional area, born in Charleston WV, lots of shadowing with an in depth shadow log- many hours at Charleston surgical hospital shadowing..
I too would like to know stats. I have 5 years of ICU experience, traveled for 2 years to other ICUs, have my CCRN, ABSN plus bachelors degree in Biology. I did a lot of jumping around in my undergraduate years from school to school for my bio degree, which I'm worried looked bad and there's really nothing I can do to fix that. I also started an NP Program in 2022 and got 3 classes in and realized that was not what I wanted to do at all. Also worried that looks bad and there's nothing I can do to fix that. My GPA is on the lower side because I made a D in organic chemistry but I retook the class and got an A. I wonder if they calculate all attempts at the class or if they calculate your retake. I am rather discouraged, but definitely still want to try again next year. I emailed admissions to ask if the 2025 cohort begins in May 2025 or August like this year, I know this year the start date was initially supposed to be in May but got pushed to August while awaiting approval. Wasn't sure if they will keep the cycle starting in August or not.
Here are my stats:
cumul GPA: 3.66
nursing: 3.60
science GPA: 3.60
Experience: started in a CVICU, now critical care float pool for level 1 trauma between 4 specialty ICUs and I do VV/VA ECMO, CRRT, ultrasound PIV, and IABP; open heart trained at prior hospital; preceptor; 3 years total in ICU
shadowed twice for total of 20 hours
volunteer at free clinic
CCRN, ACLS, PALS, BLS obviously; AACN member
I highly recommend casting a wide net. I've applied to 9 programs, 2 rejections, 2 interview offers so far, waiting to hear from the rest. I swear it's just a lottery right now.
I got an interview as well. I have 2 years critical care experience in a level 2 trauma hospital starting in MICU, adding SICU, added ER last year August. Cumulative GPA 3.9. I have 2 research publications and have been involved in 3 research projects total. Lots of research presentations, some volunteer work, treasurer on a state board as a student nurse, founded some collegiate level clubs and so on. BLS ACLS PALS TNCC (pending ENPC if available in my area soon), IABP CRRT ECMO Impella etc.

No I didn't I was hoping to because I work all of the days 🫣 I told my manager already and she was OK with it but now flights are crazy expensive so trying to plan around it all I'm hoping by Friday we know ?
