To be honest, its not as bad as alot of people make it to seem. Me and my friends were terrified after orientation because they made everything sound like it was the end of the world!lol I quit my job before I started and dont have any kids so for someone like me it really isnt bad. Dont panic if u do have kids and a husband or wife becsuse ALOT of people at Charity do and they are still able to manage! Some tips I will give u are def get that fundamentals sucess, it helps alot with the test. They tell u to look at it ahead if time but wait until u start class because u wont know any of the topics in there until AFTER u have the lecture on that specific topic in the book. Just keep up with the lectures and manage ur time wisely and u will do fine. Im still able to have a life, its all about managing ur time!

Thanks so much.. I will keep everything in mind when I get there in August. I'm so excited.

No problem :)

Like I tell most people, if this is something that you REALLY want to do then you will find what your learning interesting and you will want to look over it as much as possible. If this is not what you want to do then it will be very hard to get through the program..so just keep that in mind! Good luck with everything and PM me if you have any questions about instructors, etc. Be excited and dont let anyone try to freak you out, I got so irritated afterawhile hearing about the "horrors of nursing school",yes it is a commitment but like I said, if this is your thing it wont seem like a chore.

This is definitely something that want. I cant pm right now because i'm fairly new to this forum and i think i have to have 15 posts. I actually think that im going to do pretty good there. I like school so i should be fine. Its just that on almost every forum there are horror stories about how hard it is, but you now you cant believe everything you read or hear. Thanks so much for your tips and input. I really appreciate it

Just in case no one knows but tdap shots are free at immunization network and tb tests are 25

They also offer other shots if you need

I spoke with the first person on the list they gave us for CPR. Her email is on there. She is offering CPR May 4th in harahan.

Hey isn't the CPR supposed to last at least until the 6th of may? I wonder if the 2 days will make a difference.

I went to Walgreens for my shots in Kenner and If you have insurance you don't pay anything. I signed up for CPR on the 4th. I may Email them and ask them if that will make a difference with 2 days.
