  1. I personally didnt like the ebooks and they wont be used in class in any way so you can use hard copy books if you want.
  2. CLASSES ARE UP!!!!!!!!!! Click on spring nursing I and the fall schedule is up. It is SO different from years past
  3. Here's to hoping they change again b/c the clinical I wanted changed from day to night and that so wont work.
  4. I also talked to my advisor and Mrs. Thompson both said that not having the whole hep b series wont affect us at all. I also looked on Lola and there is really only one clinical and pharm that works well with my kids schedule so I am hoping that I can get that one even though I hear the instructor is not the best The schedule is supposed to be on the charity website sometime at the end of MAY (so hopefully any day now). Has anyone bought uniforms and other supplies yet? Anyone going to try real books vs ebooks?
  5. Mine also says non compliant b/c I am still waiting to take my the rest of my hep b and the titer.
  6. I would love to see anything you can send to me so I can get an idea.of what is too come. Stph would be so convienent and I am no afraid of putting in hard work.
  7. Shawney I would be up for getting a bite to eat after the cpr class.
  8. Anyone have clinical at St. Tammany? I thought I read somewhere that this clinical wasn't recommended. It would be great to be on the northshore for clincals but I also don't want to waste my time and would rather drive somewhere to get a good clinical experience.
  9. Thanks for the info Jay. If you use lola and the list of instructors from spring you can figure out which sections go with which clinicals.
  10. I sent my application for boards on the 11th and got my letter on Monday. I just confirmed my cpr class for this weekend. I too wish Charity would put out the schedule so I can get all of my plans in order as far as childcare times.
  11. Thanks for the info about LSU Got my letter from the state board giving me the green light today!!!
  12. Multiple devices but there are two different formats so you have to choose the format that will work on your tablet/phone/computer. I looked it up online there are is a comparison of the two formats and a video.
  13. Spots in the Charity garage and LSU garage will be up for "auction.' We can sign up at orientation and the other levels will sign up during the first week of school. They will "draw names from a hat" until the spots are filled.
  14. AREN'T mandatory
  15. Ebooks are mandatory but they are less expensive than what I have been able to find even buying used. I have always been the kind of person who likes to make notes in my books so I am not sure how I am going to like that aspect of them. I watched a tutorial of pageburst and it seems like it is pretty easy to navigate. I am torn on the tablet vs laptop issue when in comes to ebooks. If I were to take notes within the ebooks like it is set up I would rather have my laptop than tablet. Others have also talked about the fact that with their laptops they are able to have multiple things running so they can have their drug guide, webpage for research and word open when working on careplans. Tablet would be easier to carry around though. If anyone finds actual books for a great deal let me know b/c the ebooks last year were about $450 YIKES!! I haven't been able to find a way to get "actual" books for anywhere near this price.
