Hello Everyone!
I know I'm early but I'm super excited to begin nursing school. I was wondering if anyone else here is planning to apply to Charity for Fall 2012? Are you done with your prereqs? Taken the HESI? What's your profile score?
I have taken all of my prereqs but it has been 6 years since I took A&P II lecture/lab so I'm taking it now at Delgado. I'm taking the lecture online and I go on campus for the lab. We have only done one exercise in lab so far and I already feel like its not going to be very easy. I took the HESI on Monday and I did pretty well so I'm done with that thank God!
I calculated my profile score and if I get an A in the A&P lecture I'll have 70 points. If I get a B or C, I'll have 65 points. I'm super nervous because when I talked to the admissions lady at Charity she told me the cut off tends to be a bit higher for the Fall semester than the Spring. From reading the forum, it looks like the cut off for Spring 2012 was around a 55 so I'm worried that the cut off for Fall will be like 75!
Good luck to everyone and I hope to meet some of my future classmates!
well here we are another week of our lives on hold! but, looking at the martini glass half full, all of us are going to charity in the fall because none of us have been rejected!!!!
relish the moment!
i know it's not very pc but................ i'm praying for each of you!!
best of luck classmates!
I'm so ready for this waiting, wondering, and wishing to be over with! I don't understand why they don't just let us come pick them up instead of waiting on snail mail or email us and save a tree or something. Trying to stay positive but hard to with such contradicting information about when to expect them and what the profile score cut off will be.
Wondering if any of you have back up plans or looked into any other Allied Health careers? Such as the DMS program at DCC.
Good luck to you all! I am finishing up my second semester at Charity, and I love it. I am so sorry that you all are still waiting for your letters, they must of changed things because I got mine for Fall 2011 in November 2010! I don't know hw much things have change exactly, but when I got accepted last year, I got a regular, thin letter not a packet...
I think you have to be enrolled in it when you apply if you haven't taken it. I don't know much about the job market(stability) but I do know the program is year round and 16 months. I don't have the volunteer hours/experience in an allied health field so I am not sure they would consider me either but I think I would like DMS too

Did I miss something? Where did the info about getting letters friday come from? Ohh nevermind I see the comment. I am hoping they are just saying Friday because they are sick of all the phone calls and hoping that will prevent a few and the letters are really en route
