Charity School of Nursing Spring 2019

Hey all! I am applying to Charity School of Nursing Delgado this summer for the Spring 2019 classes. I wanted to start this thread for some support and to help keep each other updated. I just checked Delgado's website for Charity's application deadlines. It's saying applications for Spring are July 1st - July 15th.. is this incorrect?! Everything I've read in the past has August 1-15 as applications :( ...I am taking classes over the summer to help apply to Charity, they will not be completed by July 1st!! This doesn't seem right.

What did you do to study for the HESI?

I used the Elsevier study prep book and the app Delgado and LSU suggested, Pocket Prep. It's a bunch of practice quizzes. I did find the actual test to be a bit different than the practice tests. And I haven't had A&P2 yet, but I at least went over some general info fom A&P2

Hey everyone! My name is Amanda and I will also be applying for the Spring 2019 Nursing program at Charity. I joined the Navy after high school and served for 6 years until i decided I was ready to get out and back into school. I moved back home to Louisiana in December and I'm currently in the summer semester taking my A&P1 and lab as well as my first math(contemporary). I spoke with an advisor from Delgado and from Charity and this is the ONLY summer they are accepting applications from us folks taking our prereqs this summer. I was freaking out for a little bit but now all is well. I plan on taking the last of my pre reqs in fall (A&P2 with the lab, microbiology, and my 2nd college level math) so I'll be taking only nursing courses in the Spring 2019. I take my HESI on the 3rd of July so lots of studying in my foreseeable future. I have a 2 and 3 year old and I'm a single mom. Wish me luck lol!

So I am curious if the needed points for acceptance will be lowered any now that they do not give points for cumulative gpa

Hello ladies and gents! My name is Kiesha Brown and I am in the Louisiana Army National guard. I am applying to SPRING 2019 nursing class at delgado! Hey, I was wondering the same thing! If we were still getting those points I would have 75 profile points, but because we aren't I will have 65. I pray those 65 get me in!

What day is everyone turning in their applications? I think I`m gonna go monday I am anxious to turn it in lol

I am also turning mine in on Monday as well, if you don't mind me asking, what is your profile score? I have been debating on whether or not to retake the HESI before turning it in. My current profile score is a 65.

I'm taking the HESI again tomorrow and I'm still in the process of getting everything together. I'm so nervous. I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Yes. I'm not really sure of my score yet. I'm in 3 classes right now that will finish up my prereq classes and then my HESI is tomorrow. I'm going to most likely try to get it all together tomorrow after the test but I still won't know my exact csn gpa until the summer courses are over. This is so stressful!
