Hey all! I am applying to Charity School of Nursing Delgado this summer for the Spring 2019 classes. I wanted to start this thread for some support and to help keep each other updated. I just checked Delgado's website for Charity's application deadlines. It's saying applications for Spring are July 1st - July 15th.. is this incorrect?! Everything I've read in the past has August 1-15 as applications ...I am taking classes over the summer to help apply to Charity, they will not be completed by July 1st!! This doesn't seem right.
Hey everyone. My name's Adam LeBlanc and I'll also be applying for spring 2019. Last time I went to an advisor i was told August 15th was the deadline. Thank god I looked at the info pack today! Unfortunately that only gives me a week to get my application in. I have everything ready except for my official transcript from the other college I attended in 2013. The thing is, I sent that transcript to Delgado when I transferred in 2015, and again in 2016 for my surgical tech program. Do they need another official transcript? Cause it will take over a week to get one in the mail and I have less than a week to meet the new deadline. Has anyone else had a similar experience? The only other option I have is to order an official transcript in the form of a PDF but I don't know how long that will take or if they'll even accept it. Either way, I'm going to call Ms. Thornton on Monday to see if I have any options, but I wanted to check with y'all to see if anyone else was in the same boat.
Aleblanc29, yes you need all your official transcripts with your Charity application. They cannot be in PDF form, they have to be stamped and sealed. When you turn your application in, they check everything right there. They open your official transcripts and stamp them as "received" and sign them. Did you attend college in Louisiana in 2013? If I were you, I'd do an internet official transcript request right now and select the option to pick it up in person. Usually you can pick up an official transcript in person the same day you order it. It only takes a second to print and stamp! But yes, snail mail takes longer :/

As long as you drop it off before the 16th of this month it is ok.
