Charity school of nursing spring 2017?

Published

Hello everyone, I know the application date is not till August but I am already nervous and stressed about getting accepted to CSN for spring 2017. Anyone else applying this August?

Ok thank you that helps a lot!!! You had an awesome score! I took the math and English for a practical nursing program I was thinking about doing in case I didn't get in to charity and I got an 86 on English and 82 on math so it's just the sciences I need to do well on.

I also took mine today and got an 82 which I was suprised I though it would have been higher. 82 is fine for my profile score but I want to aim a little higher. I'm taking it again August 3rd so I'm going to aim between a 85-90. A&P was pretty general with a few specific type questions but you only get 25 questions for those 2 sections, so you can't miss as many. All the other sections have 55 questions. I would tell everyone to just get an general idea of everything from the official HESI evolve book. It's helped me a lot. I feel like I would have done better but I'm in the middle of finishing 3 online classes that end this week and have a bunch of stuff due so my brain was mush today but plan to have a good few weeks to do some more reviewing before I take it again. Good luck to everyone who still has to take it and don't stress too much, it's not that bad!

That's still an awesome score. All my friends in charity got between an 80-82. I would be happy with that!!! I hope I can do as well.

You will do great!!! Try not to study to in detail, just get a really good general concept of everything!

If you want to get general idea for Anatomy and Physiology as well as Biology, I found these videos on youtube. They are called Crash Course. They have a complete A&P playlist as well as Biology one. You could use these to review if you find sitting down with paper and pencil kind of boring. This will provide you with everything you will need to know for the Hesi.

Anatomy and Physiology Playlist:

Biology Playlist:

I find these videos completely interesting and I have used them since taking General Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and now A&P. He gives you the basics in these videos and then you can go on to your lecture and build on that. I highly recommend.

If you have repeated courses in the CSN curriculum within the past 5 years, but only repeated them to attempt to achieve a higher grade, this counts against you, correct?

If you received a D or F it counts against you

What if you made a C in a class and repeated it to try to get a higher score though?

That won't count against you

Alright, thank you for the info!!

My stomach is in knots thinking about the fact applications can be turned in a week from tomorrow! I only have 55 before I take the HESI so everything is riding on my score!

When are you taking the Hesi?
