Hey
I am a post graduate(did masters in nursing) from India and currently on a H4 visa. I came here and did my Nclex and got passed, recently got the license. As my visa status doesnt allow to keep a SSN, Iam really ambiguous about the next step. Is it really difficult to get a job even when you have the license. Is there any other option to study? Like doing a Phd or something? Do they need SSN for Phd? Do nursing homes sponsor a visa if I apply?
I have lot of questions in my mind and unsure of what to do....
please if anyone can help?
anyone from michigan?

As long as meets H1b requirements and employer willing to pay $$ for H1b then go for it but you can't start working until Oct 2014 and employer can not file for H1b until April 2014. Most if not all nursing homes will meet the requirements to not be covered by the cap usually they are hospitals affiliated with universities

How do you assume that? Is this your personal experience?
one of my friends with msn in nursing education could find a h1b sponsor in Indiana...
