Chancellor's VS College Network

Specializes in everything, mostly surgery.

First of all... does anyone recommend either? If so which? Where would you recommend purchasing. I'm looking to share if anyone wants to. I have a few pre-rec study guides from the college network.

You will find a majority of Excelsior students in the many threads and posts about these publishing companies do not recommend going with them. Don't sign a contract with any of them. You can't get out of the contract, should you decide that their programs don't fit your needs. Instead, go to ebay and purchase the used study guides at a great discount. This is the best way to go. Also, if you join the study groups on Yahoo, you can occasionally find someone who wants to sell their study guides. Good luck with the program.

I used College Network for my last few pre-req's and I'm happy with the product but, as Caliotter said, you can usually get them cheaper elsewhere so try that route first.

Specializes in ICU.

Do not sign with any of them. They all go through Excelsior and cost you an arm and a leg for nothing. I made this mistake($8,000) and wish I would have done some research. I bought two College Network guides on Ebay today for 65 bucks shipped. They are $495 new.

Specializes in Medical-Surgical.

I already made the mistake off signing with college network for five study guides. Read the fine print one day past the deadline. This is setting me back 4,000. Most off it I can get my job to pay but its still a waste. Study guides can be found cheaper on the net.
