For the most part, employees are reluctant to hire overseas-trained nurses without experience, unless it's for a graduate position, as the transition from student to RN is difficult enough without adding in the transition from one country/system/drugs etc to another.
If I am open to rural and remote regions is that chance still slight? it's very frustrating.
Rural and remote are very different things.
Remote I'd be very wary about working in a remote setting without much experience, even for locally trained nurses - even if they were prepared to take you without a strong clinical background, there's often little or no support, including medical support. And by "little or no support" I mean it taking 4 hours for the Flying Doctors' Service to arrive.
Rural Usually more supported in a clinical sense, you may well increase your chances of finding employment if you're prepared to work further out. Just be prepared for small town life - friends who've moved from the towns they grew up in to other rural areas say it tkes a long time to fit in. Many of the nurses have grown up locally and worked at the hospital for decades. I'm not saying it can't be a rewarding and rich experience (and a JOB!), just that it can be hard.
I am a hard working person. Where can I find information about rural regional nursing? and get possible sponsorship?
It's not about hard work, though that's certainly true - it's that it can be really difficult for experienced nurses to manage, in addition to cultural aspects of remote area work that can be particularly hard for someone from overseas to navigate.
At the very least, before you even think about applying for one of these positions talk (here if need be) to people who've worked in remote areas in Australia

Thanks talaxandra for your advise. however, my circumstance left me no choice. I finished my nursing degree in south africa but as a foreigner i was prohibited to work there, so i transfered my registration to northern territory. I am chinese if i go back to china i need to know all the termnology in chinese which i nerver studied. the working condition in South africa is very hectic so i think i will cope with the situation in Australia.
My concern is to get employment in australia asap, will you give me advise on that? thanks again.
I don't know what you've tried - I put nursing, jobs and rural into google and got a 43,000 hits, including this site, this site and this site. I don't know anything about the agencies or the positions, bu tthere are definitely vacancies.

Hi, I was the similar situation with you. I graduated BSN overseas and got the Australian registration after completion of the 3-month Initial Registration Program. However, it was very difficult to get a job in any big hospitals because I did not have much experience back in my country. I would recommend you to start GNP(Graduate Nursing Program) if you want to build your career in Nursing. From my experience, it is very useful and you can learn a lot about 'Aussie nursing'. I did some agency shifts for a year, but I don't want to recommend. It is too risky to do, if you do not have enough experience and confidence in your skills.
I think this site could be helpful for you to get some information regarding GNP programs.
Good Luck :-)

Is it difficult to find overseas jobs? Where do you search?
