Chamberlain University Sacramento 2020-2021

Published

Has anyone applied for and/or was accepted into the Chamberlain Sacramento campus? I applied for Jan 2021 but I only have a ~3.5-3.6 GPA and a passion statement (HESI was waived due to COVID-19). What are your stats and any tips or advice? I am waiting to hear back from the admissions committee so I’m going to have my fingers and toes crossed!

It looks Like College of the Sequoias has the same accreditation’s as the school I went to, so your classes should transfer as long as you had labs.  One you are accepted you will talk with your student  advisor and they will let you know what transfers. I was able to transfer a lot and it really helps both with time and money. It can be hard to get a hold of the admission advisors because they get a lot of apps and calls. I always emailed and usually would get a response in a few days. Once accepted you get a new student advisor and mine is amazing! She always responds immediately and is so helpful! ?

Thank you so much for the information and for checking my college in comparison to yours! I really appreciate it.? It made me feel better.

They didn’t take any of your bio classes!?!? Is it because they were taking more than 5 years ago?

Definitely don’t give up on those prerequisites. I’m sure as others have said you can still fight them on accepting those classes. Especially if they are 2 years old. I really hope when I am in the process of applying I don’t run into the same situation, because Chamberlain is not cheap.

I am glad to help!! ?Also, take a look at Straighterline if you need to fill in the gaps with any GE classes.  I was able to knock two classes out and save time and money. Just get them approved beforehand- again, the student advisor will help once admitted. ?

I know, it’s so expensive, but I’m tired of waiting on the lottery system. The only thing that would make me consider waiting to get into another program is if they don’t accept my science courses and want me to retake them. But I’m going to do my best to make sure that doesn’t happen!

I’ll be sure to look into that too! I have a quick question regarding your bio classes. Did you take anatomy and physiology separately? I know some schools combine anatomy and physiology into one class taken over 2 semesters. My anatomy and physiology classes were separate and each was 1 semester long, lab included.

Mine were combined, so that would be the only difference. That being said, if you are forced to retake classes- check out straighterline. They offer science classes too. Let me know if you have any questions, I can send you my email. ?

That would be great! I’ll know if I got in by the end of next week. Would you mind sending it to me so I have it if I do need some info/advice?
