Has anyone applied for and/or was accepted into the Chamberlain Sacramento campus? I applied for Jan 2021 but I only have a ~3.5-3.6 GPA and a passion statement (HESI was waived due to COVID-19). What are your stats and any tips or advice? I am waiting to hear back from the admissions committee so I’m going to have my fingers and toes crossed!
Hi Nnenna,
I want to tell you that there is hope. I am the opposite of what you just described. I am in my 30s....finished all my prereqs, and I need financial aid. LOL So I guess if I can get in anything is possible. I worked my butt off the last 5 years in college with a family and working full-time. I am so thankful I got in and my advice is do the best you can, don't give up and pray.
I second that! I am 40, with a family and went back to school 2 years ago to finish my prerequisites so I could get into Chamberlain. My start date was bumped from May 2021 to this January and I am very excited! I am transferring in a bunch of credits and taking online courses right now to transfer in before I start. You can do it!! Just study for the HESI and you got this. ?
Hello all, so I had originally applied to Sac campus, I informed my advisor that I’ll be moving to Texas so they transferred my application to Houston campus, I went as far as doing drug screening and financial aid to tell me they needed to transfer my application to Pearland campus. Pearland campus already sent me my mandatory virtual orientation and scheduled to do my campus fingerprinting the upcoming Monday. I got a voicemail on a Saturday from my sensior advisor from Pearland campus saying that my application has been denied. I don’t get it. How can they play with emotions like that? I tried calling my advisor back but unable to reach him.

I’m so sorry this happened to you ? so they already told you to do the drug test and orientation but then said you got denied?
3 minutes ago, nurse2b20 said:Yes ?, and told me last Saturday all I needed was to finish my fingerprinting so they can register me for classes. ??♀️
Did they first tell you you got accepted first? ? I’m so sorry. Also, is there more than one campus in Texas or are there other campuses you can or want to apply to?

Oh my, I'm so sorry. You've not been able to get in touch to figure out if they made a mistake? Because you already paid all that money for background/fingerprinting
Wow that is so unfortunate and messed up. That is why I’m kinda scared when it comes to chamberlain. I am applying to state schools as well as chamberlain but there are so many requirements, it’s impacted, and a lot of stress that goes along with it. If you guys don’t mind me asking for the people who were able to transfer credits to chamberlain. How many credits were you able to transfer and what classes were they? I’m on my last semester of community college and I hope that a lot of my credits transfer so I save money and time at the program.
To Savvy, yes I did pay for the background and drug screening fee ?I spoke to my advisor last Saturday, and he said I just needed to go to campus to do the fingerprinting which I was suppose to do this Monday so I can register for classes. I have no idea. They even sent me the email for the mandatory student virtual orientation information too.
to Nnenna, yeah I’m like bummed out. I was excited to be accepted to only tell my I’m not after all that process. I took some classes in a community college too, when I looked over the classes that they transferred, a lot of my classes didn’t. Id have to do micro again and biomed statistics, some English and Math classes too, and per class is like $4k.
I am so sorry this is happening to you. I would definitely get more clarification as to what happened. As far as Sacramento campus, my experience has been good. They accepted 50 of my transfer credits from community college and UCSB and I am taking ethics and philosophy through straighterline because I did not have those classes. All in all a fairly seamless transition. Could there be some error with admissions???

Hi Everybody! Yikes, you guys make me so nervous when it comes to my turn to apply. My stats are 3.67 and I haven't taken the HESI yet. I was hoping to apply for Sept 2021 at multiple locations now since I've seen this thread. I'm really surprised that a lot of you were not accepted into the program. The only reasoning I have is since chamberlain is a for-profit they are obviously looking for applicants they can get the most money from. That being said students straight out of high school and applicants who haven't taken their science pre-requisites are most likely being accepted, hence the lower GPA's. Which I think is really unfortunate. I hope to meet other people who are applying for Sept 2021! Hopefully, if we all get in we can start now to communicate and form a study group or something to tackle nursing school.
