Has anyone applied for and/or was accepted into the Chamberlain Sacramento campus? I applied for Jan 2021 but I only have a ~3.5-3.6 GPA and a passion statement (HESI was waived due to COVID-19). What are your stats and any tips or advice? I am waiting to hear back from the admissions committee so I’m going to have my fingers and toes crossed!

I am applying to state schools as well as chamberlain but there are so many requirements, it’s impacted, and a lot of stress that goes along with it. If you guys don’t mind me asking for the people who were able to transfer credits to chamberlain. How many credits were you able to transfer and what classes were they? I’m on my last semester of community college and I hope that a lot of my credits transfer so I save money and time at the program.
I was able to transfer 56 credit except for Nutrition, because they make you take theirs. I start with just the Nursing Courses in January. Basically, you should get all your sciences done & your Critical thinking, Statistics, College Algebra, History, Sociology, Ethics, English, Advanced English, Humanities, Lifespan and Psych. They have the course grid on their website I believe. Goodluck!

Hopefully it gets cleared up. Maybe you can also email the advisor that was working with you. I never got a hold of them on phone, so emailing was my go-to form of contact.

Wow, that a lot of credits! The only thing that is really irritating is that I was taking classes tailored to transfer to a state school which isn't really different from a lot of nursing programs across the nation. But Chamberlain specifically for California residents has different requirements unlike the rest of chamberlain programs. I'm already petitioned to graduate so now I need to find where I can take the rest of the prereqs online because I don't want to pay chamberlain prices.
Hello yes I am waiting to hear. I am so nervous bc my HESI score was 81%. Good luck to you!!

Hello yes I am. I’m so nervous!! My HESI wasn’t high as I wanted. I have 10 years experience in The OR as a surgical tech so who knows.

I got a 96% on the HESI and have a 4.0 GPA with 2 AS degrees. I believe from what I’ve heard that your mission statement really boosts your chances of getting into Chamberlain. But I’m second guessing if I want to go through them to get my BSN. I managed to figure out how to see which transfer credits they were accepting from me and they didn’t accept any of my biology courses so I’d have to retake all of those again which is a major setback.?
I think your experience will give you a major advantage! Good luck to you too! Hopefully we’ll get good news next week!

They didn’t take any of your bio classes!?!? Is it because they were taking more than 5 years ago?

I took my science classes at College of the Sequoia’s. I’ve been trying to contact my advisor but I haven’t been able to get a hold of her. How do you check with the registrar? I sent in all my official transcripts with my application so I’m assuming they’ve gone over everything.
It looks Like College of the Sequoias has the same accreditation’s as the school I went to, so your classes should transfer as long as you had labs. One you are accepted you will talk with your student advisor and they will let you know what transfers. I was able to transfer a lot and it really helps both with time and money. It can be hard to get a hold of the admission advisors because they get a lot of apps and calls. I always emailed and usually would get a response in a few days. Once accepted you get a new student advisor and mine is amazing! She always responds immediately and is so helpful! ?
