Hello everyone!

I have some questions regarding Chamberlain University.

Anyone here hoping to apply to there program anytime soon?

I'm considering there program and hoping to start January 2020.
Anyone currently attend the school and can give me some insight on how on the program is any pros and cons of the campus.

I do have a tour for campus next week.

Thank you!

hello

I am just curios how the first semester goes if you do have all your pre reqs?

Specializes in Urgent Care.

Hi @Rschael!

So the amount of days you're physically on campus depends on what session you're in!

Also, it depends on if you're doing your prereq's there. I personally did not have any prereq courses at Chamberlain because I was finished prior to admission.

The first session I was there twice a week for 3 hours a day. Second session I was there twice a week 3 hours a day. Third session I was there twice or three times a week (I can't remember). I had health assessment 1 + lab and patho. After that I had class 3 times a week; Fundamentals twice weekly and Health assessment 2 lecture one day a week and lab a different day). This session I have funds lecture once a week, clinicals one day, and pharm for 6 hours on one day.

So, it just depends! They offer some of the prereqs online and I believe nutrition is online as well as informatics but I think that's all. Again, I might be totally wrong (I don't have my stuff in front of me to tell). But honestly, it's amazing. I love our school. I love the program. No regrets at all and I wish you nothing but success in getting into a nursing program! ?

Hello there!

I have some questions about CU if you dont mind?

I'm currently in my application process for UTA, getting nervous of course

Overal GPA 2.82

Science GPA (micro, ap1, ap2, chem) 3.47

Just looking at other potential options and I came across CU.

I'd be coming in with 100% pre reqs done, only thing left for me is NURS courses and Clinicals. .... .. what was the application process like? I can only find so much information on the application process and requirements without having to give out my info for someone to contact me.

thank you in advance!

Hello! Thank you for the response to this forum. I'm in the process of applying to this program. I've had previously been in a different program at a local CC and unfortunately did not have a very good experience. I just felt like the compassionate side to nursing wasn't there.. At the end of the day it was all about grades to my instructors and if you didn't pass the final (for us it was a 78) or above, you would have to sit out for a semester, sometimes it can take two semesters depending on if there was room in the course. So I was just wondering how the courses worked out for you, I understand they are broken into quarter sessions and how the professors at CU were like. How was it in terms of the grading rubric as well? Any advice is appreciated !
