I just got the call tonight that I will be in the spring 2018 class and I'm hoping to find others who will be starting in spring as well. It would be nice to have a group of us to all go through this process together :)
Hello everyone! I am planning to apply to Chamberlain BSN program in fall 2018. For everyone that has been accepted into the Sacramento campus, what was your HESI score and GPA? I know the GPA requirement is 2.75, but I heard the sacramento campus is more competitive.
I will be starting at Sac in the spring and have a cGPA of 3.4 and got a 94% on the HESI. My advisor told me that Sac is more competitive because unlike some other campuses that can admit as many students as they want, Sac can only do 30/semester. She told me the last class had an average HESI score of 90%. Good luck applying, I'm sure you'll do fine :)
Just for friendly reminding: if you can't pass APEA predictor exam you have to retake the class and clinics, otherwise, you unable to take the certification exam. So choose Chamberlain FNP program with caution because it can mean all your effort is 0, all the money you spend is 0, and all the time you devoted is 0!

How has your course work been going? I saw your positie review of Chamberlain. I want to find out what it's like because I'm switching over in Sept 2018.
I am set to start in September and I wonder how the chamberlain system teaches the Plan of Care. At a previous college I was dropped in the deep end with the internet, google and some books and told to "create a care plan" and they had only a template and no one on one guidance. I was shocked. then my evaluator chided me for not following instructions. ugh. I am looking for respect from teachers because I give them respect.
2) also, how do you get ready for a test? does the professor usually give you practice questions (not the exact questions but similar ones to keep the energy up?)
How do you like the program so far? I'm looking for students that have attended Chamberlain.

How was your experience at Chamberlain? Thanks for your help.

I will be attending online. Wish I could be of help- but I have absolutely no idea about the admissions committees either. 😩
