  1. I’m in Northern CA, Sacramento area and recent new grads from our program are starting at $40 for SNF and $45-60/hr for hospitals. Most are union, so the pay is more consistent among those.
  2. I took it and it was VERY different from the basic Nutrition I took at a community college. I didn't pass the proficiency exam, but I'm not upset about it because it made me realize how much I need to take the class. Chamberlain's class is more focused on nutrition within nursing, and what patients may need in particular situations, not just essential nutrition.
  3. I had a 3.4 GPA and weighted 92 on HESI, came in with an AA in Communications so I still have to take my sciences. I'm starting the BSN program in Sac this January.
  4. I have my classes for Jan (Chem, A&P and Intro) but no schedule yet. I haven't heard anything about CPR. Have you all done the sexual harassment online course? I didn't write down where to access it and can't remember.
  5. I'm 30 and start in January. This is the third time I'm started the process; my husband is AD Air Force and every attempt previously was put off by deployments and relocations. I have kicked myself over the years for not starting sooner, but now I'm feeling like this is the perfect time. We have a 7 and 8 year old so they're more independent now, his schedule is finally predictable, and I had years home with my kids before they started school. Not only that, but I'm in school this semester for pre-reqs and for the first time, I LOVE what I'm learning. It's not just memorizing to pass a test... I'm so interested in learning to know things! haha. I'm really enjoying school now. Instead of regretting that I didn't do it sooner, I'm just going to focus on doing my best to keep my GPA competitive for further studying, and enjoy the experience!
  6. I have my AA so I'm hoping I can transfer over many of the pre-reqs, but I don't have sciences. (Sorry I just figured out the quote feature! haha)

  8. Hey there! I have been accepted for the January start date! I'm meeting with them next week for enrollment.
