Chamberlain RN to BSN start May 2013

Hi, I am starting on Monday. Wondering if anyone else is?

You can log in to your classes now and start preparing even tho they don't open til Sunday. I found out the hard way... Use WORD to type your responses to the discussion threads THEN cut n paste em to the actual thread... I spent about 3 to 4 hours researching & writing my answers to the two questions each week... Success in this class is time management and working a week ahead if ya can, just don't get behind. This was my first online class, Cult Diversity will be my second. I' anxious to!

Thanks, this is a great idea! The nursing classes tell you what the whole semester will look like. I can not open the first week in cult diversity. I downloaded the book though.

Ok, finally off and running. Spent A LOT of time with tech support and they got it all sorted out. Hope everyone is having a great first day :)

I am working on figuring everything out. As these are my first classes, I have some adjustments to make. I wonder if we are any of the same classes. I have last name beginning with a for 351 and last name beginning with w for soc.

Not sure, how did you manage to go undercover and use two different names:sneaky: I don't think we are both in 351 together, but maybe for soc there are a couple of W's. My profs name is ****(name redacted per site terms of service).

I am trying to get adjusted too, and back in the student mode, it has been a while. Plus, trying to get the family adjusted to the fact that I will not be as available to their every need!

I do not know what you mean by 2 different names ? nope my soc profs name is *****(name redacted per site ToS/privacy. Do not post names of professors )

I understand now. I thought you meant your last name was with an A in one class and W in another.

Sorry about that confusion. I have to learn to communicate better.

Week 1 is over for me. Onward to week 2. I have to keep up on my studies. I need to do things as I get them, because the unexpected could happen and I get easily behind in work.

Yes indeed. Week 1 over - so far so good. Yes, best to try and get stuff done early. Life seems to pop up when you least expect it! Hang in there we can do this.

Anyone else out there, now at the halfway point of first class? I am putting off the math placement. Anyone taken it and can give me some pointers?

I'm talking with Chamberlain now about the online RN-BSN program. I only took elementary algebra as part of my ADN. How hard is the math placement test? I'm kind of dreading it... Lol
