I am also looking into a telephone triage job and reviewing some scenarios. What would be the protocol when you have assessed that a 5 year old child needs ER treatment but a parent refuses to take them? Minor difficulty breathing, severe sore throat x 2 days. My thoughts would be to advise the parent of the possible risk of airway compromise and the possible rapid onset of such. Any advice??? Thank you...

How is the first week going so far? Not too bad here. Have some stress going on at home that was bad timing, but managed to get my posts done and week one assignment completed.

I'm probably overthinking this math placement test thing... I'll study up and whatever happens- happens. I got an A in my algebra course in my ADN program but it was a level lower than 114 it appears and was back in 2001... We'll see. I'm not BAD in math, but no expert either... :)

Congrats on finishing! I get good tuition reimbursement from my employer so I'm gonna go as far as I can while I have the help. Glad to have heard from someone that survived that history class.
